Neighborhood Block Party

We are planning a neighborhood block party for Oct. 31 at the Green Oak Dr. Cul-de-sac. We are considering a DJ or renting a bounce house. What are the thoughts of some of you? What would make a party fun for the majority of the neighborhood and is ageless?
